Aucun “bidouillage“ mais l’application d’algorithmes spécifiques de convolution, de déconvolution, d’ondelettes à Trou, de débruitages adaptatifs, etc…, adaptée à l’image que l’on doit traiter afin de restituer toute l’information de l’image codée sur 16 bits (65000 niveaux) alors que notre œil ne perçoit que 16 à 32 niveaux de gris. L’application d’algorithmes à tous les pixels de l’image constitue une des règles « éthique » des traitements d’images en astronomie : aucune altération artéfactuelle de l’information.
